MBSR Teacher Training
Journey with us.
Support, Mentorship and Teacher Development.
Your practice journey is unique to your life experience. If you are called to teach, your pathway will also develop in its own special way and context. Along that journey, the Mindfulness Teacher Training Alliance (MTTA) provides programs and mentorship to support you in developing an embodied practice, an understanding of the depth and challenges of the MBSR curriculum, and the professional skills needed to share this with a diverse range of participants and populations.
Coming up.
We offer MBSR Teacher Training programs, including Foundations in MBSR, the Teacher Development Intensive, Mentoring/Supervision, as well as silent retreats.
Why train with the MTTA?
-
Recognized Globally.
Programs of the MTTA are recognized by all partners of the Global Mindfulness Collaborative (GMC) in more than 13 countries, including Mindfulness @ Brown University in the USA. Originally incepted under the leadership of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusettes, the GMC is one of the most longstanding and established network of mindfulness teacher training institutions.
-
Rooted in Lineage.
Our MBSR Teacher Trainers are certified though both the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where MBSR was originally developed and refined over 40 years, and by Mindfulness Center at Brown University (MC@B). They also have deep training in the contemplative traditions from which MBSR is drawn, and/or in medicine and science.
-
Driven by Integrity.
We are aligned with the International Mindfulness Integrity Network (IMIN) and their Framework for the Integrity of Mindfulness-Based Programs, as well as with other leading standards of practice. We are also taking active steps to increase accessibility to all who seek to learn, reducing geographic, cultural and systemic barriers to participation.
